Faith Leener is a Base co-founder and the Executive Director of the Base Movement. Faith has stewarded Base from its conception to the thriving network it is today. She most recently led Base through the merger/aquistion process with Moishe House and is excited to join their professional leadership team. As Executive Director, Faith oversees the growing network of Bases and is the lead on Base's national strategy, fundraising, scaling and expansion efforts. She regularly lectures about the evolving needs of "emerging adulthood," the impact and successful engagement and educational strategies of Base, and her vision for reimagining a communal Rabbinic pulpit. As Senior Educator at the Selma and Lawrence Ruben Base BKLYN, Faith offers experiential workshops and retreats based in Jewish spirituality and mindfulness.
Faith grew up in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of two physicians. Faith is currently involved in Immerse NYC, a collaborative Mikvah project, and is on the Board of Directors of the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies.
Faith holds a BA Phi Beta Kappa from Brandeis University, an MPA in Public Policy & Non-Profit Management from NYU Wagner and a MA in Judaic Studies from NYU Skirball. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband Rabbi Jon Leener, and her three delicious children, Yehuda (Hudi), Hannah, and Tikvah.
