Faith Leener

Relentless Optimist, Philosophical Toast Giver, Spiritual Warrior.

Faith Leener is a co-founder and the Executive Director of Base.  She is also the Senior Educator at Base: BKLYN. As Executive Director, Faith oversees the growing network of Bases and is the lead on Base's strategic development,  fundraising, and expansion efforts. She regularly lectures about the evolving needs of "emerging adulthood," the impact and successful engagement and educational strategies of Base, and her vision for reimagining a communal Rabbinic pulpit. As Senior Educator, Faith offers experiential workshops and retreats based in Jewish spirituality and mindfulness. 


Faith grew up in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of two physicians. Faith is currently involved in Immerse NYC, a collaborative Mikvah project, and is on the Board of Directors of the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies. 


Faith holds a BA Phi Beta Kappa from Brandeis University, an MPA in Public Policy & Non-Profit Management from NYU Wagner and a MA in Judaic Studies from NYU Skirball. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband Rabbi Jon Leener, and her two delicious children, Yehuda (Hudi), and Hannah.
