Lizzie

Jewish-art maker, Travel fiend, Semi-retired Comedian

Lizzie served as the Senior Educator at Base Ithaca from 2019-2022.

Lizzie grew up on a small island near Seattle called Bainbridge Island. She studied at the University of Pennsylvania where she served as the head writer for the nation’s first all-female musical sketch comedy group, Bloomers. After college she moved to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up and comedy writing and worked as an assistant on various TV shows and movies.

Outside of Base, Lizzie works full-time as the creative director for Fresh Prints, a custom apparel company, where she leads the art team to create custom designs for customers.

Lizzie is a lover of the Hebrew alef-bet and studied Sofrut (Jewish scribal arts) in Jerusalem under Rabbi Dov Laiman. She can create functional Jewish documents, but her primary love lies in creating Jewish art.

Lizzie spends her free time travelling, drawing, painting, printmaking and trying to make her favorite desserts feel somewhat healthy.
